Ironic?

Standard

Does anyone else find it ironic that the very last document we needed to turn in for our dossier accidentally ended up with blood on it?

Hmmmmm…. symbolism?

A church planter’s thoughts from Ethiopia

Standard

I received this email this morning…SO encouraging!

“Thanks for e-mailing! We have very sporadic e-mail here … sorry I haven’t written back sooner. We work in a very isolated area in a region of Ethiopia called “Benishangul-Gumuz”. We work with a people group called the “Gumuz”. We do church planting and medical work in an unreached area. This Friday is Ethiopian New Years and is also the day we are baptizing our first Christians in this area. We have started 3 churches (just this year) and have been gearing up to baptize people in the “new year” (Ethiopia is on a different calendar than the western calendar – 13 months intead of 12).”

Thank You Puerto Rico!

Alright… we now have Alan’s certified copy of his birth certificate from Puerto Rico. I”ll admitt I was a little scared at how long that might take, but it’s in our hands now.

Now we’re just waiting for our FBI letters… and a new copy of our immigration letter. I say a new copy because we did receive this letter… but it was approving Alan Briggs and his wife, Judith Wilson, to adopt internationally… Who the heck is Judith? So they are re-issuing the letter with my name on it… joy!

Then we’ll have everything in for our dossier!

On a fun note… this past weekend I took care of my 2 month old nephew for 24 hours. It was an adventure and great “mom practice.” I put him to bed at 8pm and knew he would wake up some time in the night for a changing and a feeding… I went to bed around 10:30pm, but since my mom radar was on… I woke up every hour waiting to hear cooing from the other room. Zach didn’t wake up until 4:20am, but by then I had already been awake 3 or 4 times. Eh… what can you do… anyway… I had fun being on mom duty and am excited… and tired… thinking about my own little ones.
